For those of us who know we are not making it to the silver screen, we can at least have a little bit of the magic. That’s why knock offs of red carpet gowns is a hot industry. These mitts in War of the Worlds never made it to the carpet but they so impressed a client, she asked me to come up with my own knock off. I’d like to thank my client….and the academy, of course.

Description
Make these colorful mitts using whatever colors you like. Two, three or more colors to make these mitts inspired by the War of the Worlds.
Skill: Intermediate Knitting
You will need to know: knit, purl, slip stitches, using more than one color (perhaps how to use bobbins), weaving in ends. Though you use more than one color, you use one color per row. Carry the other color up the side.
There’s more than one way to do the thumb and you can adjust the pattern to do a gusset if that’s better for you.
