I do love this yarn. I love it in the tweed and in the worsted weight and I love it in the print. I’ve used this for several projects and it’s one I happily return to.
I Love This Yarn – Print has a nice feel to it – it can change from skein to skein but it’s never been unpleasant. In the hat on the right, the print is the yarn above the purple and black. The colors are lovely and even the strange colors, like Orange Zest, has some appeal. (But I won’t be buying that one soon.)
I’ve knit and crocheted with it and in knitting, the stitches are nice and even with some density and the treble crochets and single crochets have some nice texture to them. I’ve also used it in afghans and the color changes go nicely over the length and width of a project.
It is a little over 250 yards a ball making it smaller than the worsted solid ball by more than 100 yards. I do think the folks at Hobby Lobby can be a little more generous than that with their skein size but it’s a very good quality yarn so one shouldn’t complain too much.
A quick sweep shows I have about 5 different colors roaming the free range. Because of the way I chose yarn for my collections, it’s not likely to be caged and used soon. But I’ve said that before and the knitting fates intervened, so we’ll see. If it happens sooner or later, I will enjoy the work because this is a very nice to work with.
