When I decided I needed to place warm weather items in my shop, I went on the hunt for cotton yarn and I came across Soho Cotton Chic on the Herrschners website.

I expected something with the words Soho and Chic to be more than just a run of the mill cotton yarn and it delivers on my expectations. There is none of the roughness that comes with the other cotton yarns I used. It is high on the softness chart even compared to cotton blend yarns.

It is listed as a 4 weight and I will agree with that though it is on the thinner part of the scale. Whereas, Caron Cotton Cakes are on the thicker end. This yarn has a very nice drape and that also means the stitches aren’t quite as firm as other yarns. I might use this to make a tank top but I wouldn’t use it to make anything form fitting or clingy

The pictured gloves feel great and will hold up well.  I think I also made a twisted headband.

The price is a mere $3.49 – $3.99 and it comes in a dozen colors. You get more than 200 yards and that’s not a bad deal at all. Ipurchased three, maybe four, of these and look forward to using them when the time comes.

This is definitely staying on the list.
