Lion Brand Jeans Yarn
I has me a favorite yarn. It’s been quite a long time since I liked a yarn enough to call it a favorite. There are yarns that are go to yarns and that’s mostly a business decision but when I knit with Lion Brand Jeans Yarn, I was back to being a knitter and I loved how it felt, how it draped, how it knit up and the way the color looked.
I love everything about this yarn and I would love it even more if it came in more colors. Between the Jeans and the Jeans Colors Yarn, there are only a dozen colors and most of them are a version of blue.
I knit with these on bamboo needles and there was no slippage or sticking, which was something of a surprise, this yarn is really soft. It does feel like a pair of worn and comfortable jeans.
There’s a pattern on the Lion Brand website that uses this yarn in a bag. To me, that’s a poor use for this fiber. It needs to be worn because it will feel good next to the skin. Your keys and wallet don’t need to feel it.
It is $6.99 from Lion Brand and I got mine at JoAnn during one of their super sales. It retails there for $5.00 and with a coupon, this can be a real bargain because it’s worth the $5.00 for a ball that has almost 250 yards. For some reason, 250 yards is my threshold. I don’t want to see balls of yarn that has less than that unless I have to see them and use them. Don’t understand why that is but I accept it about myself.
Lion Brand Jeans Yarn is a winner, winner, winner in my book. Tempting enough to break my rule and go get some if there’s a really good JoAnn coupon I can use!
